Room

A hollow room shape with wall thickness.

Translation in progress — showing the English version.

Room is a hollow room with wall thickness — an entire interior blockout in one object.

Geometry

A hollow box with a floor and walls. The interior is empty, so you can drop a camera inside and check the space immediately.

Width, Depth and Height are outer dimensions and Thickness is the wall thickness, so the interior measures Width − Thickness × 2 by Depth − Thickness × 2.

The pivot is at the center of the bottom face; Width runs along local X and Depth along local Z.

Parameters

LabelScript keyDefaultRangeDescription
Widthw40.01 ~ 1000Outer width in meters
Depthd40.01 ~ 1000Outer depth in meters
Heighth3-1000 ~ 1000Outer height in meters
Thicknessth0.10.01 ~ 1000Wall thickness in meters

Thickness is automatically capped at min(Width, Depth, Height) × 0.5. Beyond that the walls would meet and the room would vanish, so the value is clamped first.

How to create

  1. Drag in empty space to set the footprint (Width × Depth).

  2. Click to confirm, then move the mouse up to set the Height.

  3. Click again to finish.

  4. Adjust Thickness in the Inspector to set the wall thickness.

Scene view editing

The X, Z and Y handles drive the outer Width, Depth and Height. Wall thickness is Inspector-only.

Tips

When the interior size matters, fix Thickness first and enter the outer size as interior + Thickness × 2.

A Room can also serve as an anchoring parent like Layout — resize the room and the furniture pinned to its walls follows. See Pivot and Anchoring.

Door and window openings cannot be made from parameters; use the Boolean tool or convert to an editable mesh.
